HeartPages Songwriting Boot Camp

Songs as we know  express the entirety of the human state whether it be of joy, ecstasy, excitement, sadness, peace, love, hate etc. They're so powerful that the words in them can either lift up our hearts or instill a negative feeling. It is true if we say that all men are impacted and form the basis of a great part of their lives from the music they're exposed to.

This tool through which songs make such great impact is the tool of songwriting.

Someone once said "take the political stage and give me the mic and I'll rule your country". This goes further to buttress the importance of songs to affect culture greatly.

Its been known as a narrative that gospel songs only end in church and cannot have their impact and influence beyond that terrain. However this is not true . Also the idea that gospel songs should have low standard structure, lyrics and monotony of style is also a wrong narrative. Our God is the most excellent and has given us that ability to groom ourselves to be excellent at whatever we do. Thus the gospel music scene needs great songwriters that can replicate the excellence of God in songs that'll affect culture. This is the essence of gospel music. Overtime and even now we see how much gospel songs have brought hope to the world in trying times. Gospel songs and inspirational songs written from the depth of purity, compassion and relatable positive stories and experiences is what the world needs.

This is why HeartPages songwriting boot camp is set up. To inspire and spur excellent, biblically balanced, spirit filled and creative songwriting among gospel artistes towards the goal of affecting culture positively.

Whether you are a chorister, gospel artiste, intending gospel artiste, artiste manager, instrumentalist etc , this is for you. Its an intensive training on gospel songwriting coming up soon. Stay tuned for more info in a few days time.

Ma Jó Ma Yọ - Gladness Gold

Feelings oscillate, but Joy should be constant! We go through many seasons as humans; good times, bad times, but through all time, one thing should be our constant reality; JOY!  Feelings; especially bad ones, can blind us to the reality of the work happening in our lives at the moment. "Rejoice always, again I say rejoice" was written by a man in prison. This tells us that we can maintain joy no matter what the time is; "for we know that all things work together for our good" I hope you dance and rejoice as you listen to this song  Stream here Download here

KayKay releases her debut single "Father"

KayKay is a fast rising Gospel music minister based in Lagos Nigeria. She just released her debut Single titled Father. In her own words, she says  "The song "Father" was birthed whilst reading a book by Omilola Oshikoya entitled "The Richer Woman" and the Holy Spirit spoke these words to me that Nothing can ever separate You from the Love of the Father. When you don't know why God loves you in the first place, it's easy to doubt His love at times because we tend to forget who we are. No man can fathom the depths of Christ Love towards us. I am convinced neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow, nor power above or below will ever be able to separate us from the Love of God. It is a simple song of Adoration and Love to the Father because He deserves It. You will definitely be Blessed." Listen and be blessed. Download here

Big Big Talk - Gladness Gold ft Punimen, Benjiszzy Záakì

THE COUNTRY YOU DESERVE!!! Today, 20th January 2021 makes it 3 months since the Lekki tollgate massacre and yet nobody has been brought to book.  Yet, peaceful protesters were quickly tagged terrorists  We have heard a lot of failed promises and still hear. We have seen systems fail over and over again. We have seen leaders turn tyrants. We have seen politicians hoard country/state resources and treat the masses they were “supposed to serve” as nonentities. We have seen security agents torment and kill the citizens they swore to protect.  “Unknown bandits “ kill our people freely and walk away without being brought to book and we can’t allow this cycle to go on. No! We speak up for a better Nigeria! Gladness Gold teams up with two of Nigeria's most creative musicians; Punimen and Benjiszzy Záakì to serve this one hot. In his own words, he says; "This is not a call to hate on anyone, rather, it is a Clarion call to let us know that we have slept for far too long and...
